Welcome to Sotto Ristorante and Lounge, Princeton's only, premier authentic Italian subterranean restaurant! Located in the heart of Princeton's downtown historic business district and just steps from Princeton University, Sotto offers outstanding traditional, uncomplicated, eclectic Italian cuisine.

Sotto Ristorante and Lounge was established in 2006 through a long awaited union of two respected families in the local restaurant scene: The Carnevale Brothers of the Annex Bar and Grill -- known for serving Princeton University students and the local community with friendly service, quality food, and affordable prices in a place where students and locals have been gathering for over sixty years -- and the Procaccini Brothers of La Principessa Ristorante, who've earned the reputation of being Princeton's best-kept secret, serving their loyal clientele with excellent, made-to-order traditional homemade Italian dishes for close to a decade.

Sotto's nondescript location doesn't prepare people for its charming and old world interior. Stucco walls, archways, timbers, and natural stone accent our romantic dining room, lounge, and old world bar - perfect for any occasion. Those looking to have a private business meeting or an intimate rendezvous should ask to be seated in our lounge. Sotto can easily accommodate romantic dinners, business meetings and private on-premises functions for up to one hundred people. In addition, we can add flare to your affair in the comforts of your own home and office with full-service, off-premises catering.

We also offer companies our food and facility package and welcome business functions, team building, networking events and more.
